The 34-story hotel's design pays tribute to the Mohegan tribe and its connection with nature. A dramatic crystalline tower representing arrowheads and ceremonial entities, an exploit of exterior glass reflecting the sun, and a 55-foot indoor waterfall and three-story alabaster-and-onyx crystal mountain accompany the Native American aesthetic. Hotel amenities include 300,000 square feet of gaming area, a family/kids' entertainment complex, a 100,000-square-foot convention center, and an 18-hole golf course. Two entertainment venues frequently showcase live concerts and sporting events, including Mohegan Sun's WNBA team, the Connecticut Sun. The on-site Shops at Mohegan Sun encompass two stories of retail and dining establishments.
