I have been to many salons in the Manhattan area but always seem to find that the quality of their work and the levels of customer service are very inconsistent and I leave unhappy. They just cant seem to maintain the standard. My friend recommended GC Salon and Spa as a place she was extremely happy with, especially after the new management took over. I have been there three times so far and what can I say!! The level and quality of customer service shown by the manager Leeanne is amazing. You are treated so well and made to feel special Perhaps it\'s an Australian thing! It really isn\'t that hard to treat customers well.The young stylist Kim is a master at color and creativity. I can\'t believe my hair could look so good. You know they have nailed the right formula when you are counting down the days until your next visit. Thank you GC Salon and Spa! see less

I've been here 4 times now for a Brazilian and feel compelled to shout from the rooftops how amazing Natasha is at her job. She is wonderfully professional and soothing and uses some sort of magic that makes it way less painful than anywhere I've ever been. At one point while I was on the table listening to the calming yoga-esque music, I even forgot I was in the middle of a Brazilian! She really takes her time on getting the ingrown hairs out too, which (disclaimer) is quite painful, but incredibly thorough, helpful and necessary. They have a fantastic deal for someone who gets Brazilians regularly -- only $31 a pop and gets you 20% off other waxing services. (They do a fab job on eyebrows as well.) The receptionist is beyond kind and gracious and accommodating. This place has stellar customer service all around and is very well-kept. I look forward to trying out their other services. see less
