Potosa Spa is named after the daughter of Chief Potosi of the Fox Native American tribe that formerly inhabited the region. Legend has it that a great love existed between Julien Dubuque and Potosa as letters following his death mentioned a madam Dubuque. The spa menu showcases a full complement of exclusive services based upon the Native American Medicine Wheel. Treatments are inspired by nature’s elements – earth, wind water, and fire – and include the Four Elements Massage. This signature ritual begins with a relaxing footbath and concludes with a massage using aromatherapy from the massage flame candle, warm stones and a feather fan.
