This place is a hidden treasure in Chinatown! The owners, Joyce and Sammi are friendly professionals with over 10 years of experience. I felt taken care of from the moment I walked in. I consulted for a long term facial treatment and discussed my pain points on my daily facial routine. They are knowledgable and personalized a facial recommendation based on my skin type and needs. Few things, I am impressed are the modern decor, perfectly dimmed lighting, smoothing music and calming atmosphere. I\'ve been coming here every two weeks for facials. Each time I finished my service, l feel very relaxed and left with my face looking like porcelain. Sammi is blessed with a set of specialized hands. She was very thorough with my t-zone; I have combination skin and lots of blackheads. The extractions was speedy and not very painful compared to other Chinatown spa I\'ve been to. I\'m sure their excellent service and a variety of packages will entice lots of customers for ongoing treatments through the year. I came here based on a friend\'s recommendation to try out facials. I myself haven\'t been to facials in years. (Went a few years back but that experience left me terrified because they butchered my face). I knew i needed one badly because no matter what i do at home i was not able to clean my problem areas. My t-zone is my main concern. My nose and chin consists a lot of black and whiteheads. Sammi was very patient with me when explaining and adressing my concerns. They have many type of packages for you to choose. What i like about this facial spa compared to others ive asked in my past is they are not pushy. They do not push you to buy their pricest package. Instead they will give you their honest opinion about a certain package you are interested in and if that will suit you. Given much thought i decided to give them a try before purchasing their packages and see for myself if what they\'re saying is true and if they go by their words. I toured the place before getting the facial because you would always to see how the place is before you let someone work on your face. The place is clean and cozy. All the rooms are dimmed to a relaxing setting so once you lay in the beds you are instantly relaxed. They have this very plush blanket for you to cover so you dont feel cold during the process. As you walked in to the spa, they play very soothing music which instantly makes you feel welcome the minute you walk in. I had Joyce do my first facial for me. She made feel very comfortable. She was very friendly and talked to you the whole time to keep you entertained if thats what you prefer. I read a few things before coming to this facial and told her i was pregnant so she can adjust anything necessary to fit my needs. There are certain things you cant have done while you are pregnant. She told me i wouldnt be getting the facial she was first going to try and adjust to my needs. As she was doing my facial she explained everything she did so you know what is going on. The other places i tried, they dont even talk to you and you are left laying there for an hour plus feeling awkward because you don\'t know what is coming at you or what they are doing. I had other questions while i was getting my facial done and i asked Joyce. She was more than happy to explained all my questions in further detail so i have a better understanding. They have other services such as eyebrows and eyeliners (permanent makeup) done at their location as well. Unfortunately i will have to wait another 6months before getting these services because of my pregnancy but i am glad i asked and now i am more confident in getting them done at their location. When Joyce was working on my face i did not feel any pain when she removed my black & whiteheads. It was so gentle that i didnt know she did it. Only way i know is because she told me and showed me the tool she will use on me. When she was done i showed my friend who was amazed at my skin immediately and i looked at it myself to make sure I don\'t have any bleeding like other places have left me all red and bloody from digging in my nose too hard. After Joyce was finished with my spa i gave it a little more thought and decided to get one of their packages so i can have healthier skin. I am glad i gave them a tried and waited because other spas are only concerned with getting your money and tries to get you to pay for the most expensive package but not with them. All the staffs i met were nice and friendly which is a plus. see less
